JUSTICE FOR KODY
He was family. He trusted us. Now we make sure his name means something — and that this never happens to another dog.

Kody & his owner 🚔
Kody and Waldemar Gonzalez were inseparable — an 8-month-old Frenchie riding shotgun with his person.
This is one of the last moments they had together, inside the vehicle on July 27, 2026. Waldemar is now fighting for answers.

What happened to Kody 🐾
Kody was an 8-month-old merle French bulldog with big blue eyes and zero chill — a puppy who greeted strangers like old friends.
On July 27, 2026, his owner, Waldemar Gonzalez, was pulled over in a traffic stop in Rockton, Illinois. According to Gonzalez, he was detained and Kody was left inside a hot police cruiser. By the time the stop was over, the puppy had suffered fatal heatstroke.
Brachycephalic breeds like Frenchies can't cool themselves down — in a closed vehicle on a summer day, temperatures climb past 120°F in minutes. Kody never stood a chance.
Details as described publicly by Kody's owner. This page exists so his name isn't quietly forgotten and so the questions get answered.
